We know it’s tough out there, which is why we’re dedicated to creating brilliant internship opportunities – 65% of which lead to full-time jobs. We cover all sorts of sectors, from marketing and advertising to finance and IT, and have hundreds of roles at any given time.

AVEC provisions students in their search for appropriate internships in order to either complete their academic studies or enhance their resume. Working with the largest network of recruitment/placement agencies as well as establishments directly in Australia, Thailand, Singapore, UAE and Maldives, AVEC is in perfect position to help students achieve their goals.

To ensure everything is clear and the desired result is achieved, we make use of a step-bystep plan:

Step 1: Application

When you are ready to embark on your adventure abroad, please contact us. You can forward the following documents to us as well.
Step-by-Step Guide

Registration Form

Step 2: Review

Upon receiving your details, we will peruse and polish the information, where required. If any changes are made, we will get in direct contact with you for your approval. We will also verify if your skill-set matches our requirements, check whether the start date is realistic or not and if the desired placement can be delivered in the country of your choice.

Step 3: Pre-Interview

We provide your information to our recruiting partners, who will arrange an interview directly with you or through our office. This is a preliminary interview where our partners review your information and assess your skill.

Step 4: Deposit

When we have a green light from our partners that we can place you, you need to pay a deposit, after which we officially start arranging the internship program. If for some reason we cannot deliver the program, the deposit will be refunded minus the non-refundable application fee.

Step 5: Placement

In this phase, we will select companies that fit your profile and needs. If there is a match, we’ll send your documentations to the HR manager, after which we often engage in communicating with companies on your behalf and matching your request to assignments offered by companies.

Step 6: Internship Proposal

During the placement process, we will send you e-mail invitations for interviews. So please check your e-mail regularly and respond as quickly as possible. Apart from the loss of time, responding promptly is often considered as an indication of how motivated and organized you are.
Failure to accept two internship placements voids our contract and deem the deposit non-refundable.

Step 7: Final Interview

Once a company is interested in your profile, there usually is a follow-up interview over the phone or via skype. The purpose of this interview can be to get more certainty about your skill set, how you would fit in the team or just to introduce themselves to you.
This is your moment to shine!! So make a good first impression, and try and make the most of it. Do some preparation by searching relevant information about the company via the web, do some interview rehearsals, etc.

Step 8: Visa Application

After you receive the placement offer, consult with your school to make sure they approve the assignment. If you have already graduated, read all fine lines of the agreement.
When all documents are prepared, we move forward towards visa application. We shall assist you in every step of this tedious process.

Step 9: Final Invoice

Finally, when your visa is approved, you will be billed a final invoice. Of course the deposit you had paid earlier will be deducted.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • We are open Sunday to Friday, 10 am to 5 pm.

  • We always work for quality not for quantity. By emphasizing a student’s qualification & their language skill, we precisely recommend an appropriate destination & course for each individual rather than just enroll for any county.

  • Counseling and documentation are free of charge.

You don’t need any appointment to meet our counsellors. However, it would be better if you call first. We highly advice bachelor level students to visit us with your parents or guardians.

  • Apart from interview preparations, we regret to inform you that we do not provide any preparatory classes currently.

  • Currently, we have students applying to Universities and Colleges in Australia, UK and the USA, while the interns have an option of doing their 6 months and 1 year internships in Australia, UAE, Singapore, Maldives and Thailand.

  • Yes we can. Please contact us directly to discuss the process in detail.

  • Perhaps the most important thing is to make sure you do lots of research and find out as much information as you can about the course and the university you are interested in. Don’t just look at a university league table and use this to decide where you want to study but find out what you will be studying, how you will be taught and what the university is like. A year is a long time so it will be better to live and study somewhere you like!

It is best to think about what is the best course for you, rather than just what is the best course. Different students perform differently in different environments, with different levels of support. Even courses with the same name can have quite different content so you will need to check exactly what you are going to study. The best thing is to think about why you are going to study, and then make sure that the course you choose fits in with your longer term plans.

Try to consider the strengths of different universities for that department, and look at more than just the newspaper rankings. The top ranked university may not always be the best option for every subject.

When you are looking at your options, be realistic. The entry requirements for each university will be different but often the most popular courses at the most popular universities will have the highest entry requirements, so they will be the hardest to get into. Check to make sure that your qualifications are suitable to apply for the courses you choose.

  • To give them the information they need you will have to provide several documents with your application:

Transcripts and Certificates: You must provide up-to-date transcripts and certificates of all your previous and current course of study. Where possible these should include an explanation of the grades and marking system.

English Language Proficiency: Latest IELTS or TOEFL certificate (or state clearly that you are waiting to take a test.)

Recommendation Letters: Two letters of recommendation or references, at least one from your lecturers (some universities provide special forms to be filed in.)

Statement of Purpose: Introduce yourself and explain why you want to study this course.

Resume: It is a good idea to enclose a resume or CV giving details of any work experience or other information you want to give about yourself.

Sponsorship Letter: If you are being sponsored it is also a good idea to enclose a copy of any confirmation letter.

All of these documents should be in English, and if originals are not available then all copies can be attested.

  • Being confident in English, (reading and writing, as well as speaking and listening) is one of the most important things about studying overseas.

All students going to study abroad will need to demonstrate their English Language ability by taking an internationally recognized English Language Proficiency test. The most common tests are the IELTS, offered by the British Council and IDP, or the TOEFL.

If you are thinking about studying overseas then we advise you to take a test as soon as possible, even if you are not confident. The test result will show what level your English is. More importantly it will tell you how much more work you will have to do to get the score you need in order to get an ‘unconditional offer letter’ – one of the documents you need to get a student visa.

  • Employers value skills developed through academic work, volunteer experiences, extracurricular experiences, or other experiences which demonstrate skills useful in work. Not all of these skills are job type specific; some of these skills are general such as communication skills and analytical skills, and can transfer to different settings. And routine types of student jobs can demonstrate to employers that you have been a successful employee. Obtaining internships is another great way to bridge this gap.

  • We look for opportunities that allow our interns to gain the best possible experience while adhering to the local laws and visa restrictions. As such, most of our placements are paid internships. Stipends and benefits are variant as per employers and employments.

  • Interning abroad is an amazing opportunity to travel and gain practical work experience. Our team is passionate about providing you with individual attention, career development, and the resources you will need to succeed in your internship and your future career.

  • It depends on the location. While you are required to be a currently enrolled university student to partake in some programs, most other locations are open to current students as well as recent graduates. Please inquire to learn more about the specific eligibility requirements for your desired location.

  • Applications for all programs are taken on a rolling basis. It's probably best to begin your internship search the semester prior to your desired placement. That way, you'll have time to respond to listed positions. Lead time can give you a competitive edge when it comes to composing an effective cover letter or tailoring your resume to a desired internship.

  • You must be 18 years or older and have some university/college coursework completed. The upper age limit is 30 years old, but exceptions are possible.

  • We have had interns who were offered full-time employment upon completion of their internship. This would be entirely up to the placement company and would be organized directly with you, as AVEC does not facilitate full-time employment beyond the internships. However, most do make excellent contacts while interning abroad that help open doors to future employment.

  • Yes, we often have limited placements available in a given time frame or location. We encourage you to apply and enroll early so we have time to assist you with the visa process (where needed) and find the best possible internship placement for you.
